Dear Valhalla Parents and Community Members, The Valhalla Union Free School District celebrated a tremendous start to the school year. This October, I began my second year at Valhalla. People often ask me if I am enjoying being the Superintendent here. I always answer with a resounding “yes!” and remind everyone that we have the most hard-working, talented and caring students.

	Feb. 3: Whitney M. Young Society Scholarship Dinner Open to the Public Members of the public are invited to attend the annual Whitney M. Young Society scholarship dinner on Friday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. in Valhalla High School’s VIF cafeteria.
	Save the Date: Sixth Annual Comedy Night Set for March 10 Get ready to laugh! The Valhalla Schools Foundation will host its sixth annual Comedy Night on Saturday, March 10, with special honors going to Nick “Coach D” Modugno in celebration of his 50 years of service to VMHS student athletes.
	VHS Volleyball Crew Donates $600 to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital VHS physical education students always put their heart into the annual Candy Cane volleyball tournament, but this year they did it for a good cause: raising funds to donate to the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
	Dino Dig Takes a Look at Prehistoric Creatures VRES second graders got to hold a real piece of history in their hands during Dino Dig, hosted by Benmor Enterprises on Jan. 31.
